In addition to volunteer service hours, KWC has donated in excess of $200,000 to area organizations since its inception in 1985. For the club year of 2001-2002 the following organizations have been the recipients of KWC's fundraising efforts:

Spring - 55 pairs of shoes @ $15 each
Fall - 55 pairs of shoes @ $15 each

To purchase blankets, towels, sheets, and kitchen supplies
$2200 HAAM
Back to school supplies $750
Holiday Baskets $750
Copier and extra toner cartridge for resale shop $700
$2000 Even Start
Supplies not covered by Even Start funds. Educational materials, incentives, books, field trips and emergency necessities
$800 Kingwood Library
To purchase extra copies of books on the Lone Star Reading List for Middle School.
$5000 Project Mammogram
To be used for mammograms and ultra sound if required.
$3800 Society of St. Stephen
Back to school supplies $750

Shoes for 100 Middle and High School students $1500
Fund to cover emergency medication $800
(Society deals directly with the pharmacy when helping clients with medications. They do not help on any type of medication that is considered a controlled substance.)
$3000 Kingwood High School
3 scholarships @ $1000 each
The Philanthropy committee has selected three very deserving students to receive this year's KWC scholarships: Jennifer Pipes, David Carroll, and Tonia Stone. These students were our guests at the May Installation Luncheon. Applications for this scholarship are available in the Kingwood High School Counselor's office in the spring.

Donation to College Scholarship Fund. Student to be selected by Kingwood College.
