Fundraising

Since its inception in 1985, Kingwood Women's Club has donated in excess of $545,410 to organizations in the Kingwood and Humble, Texas area. Recipients include FamilyTime, Humble Area Assistance Ministries (HAAM), Society of Saint Stephen (SOSS), Friends of the Library Kingwood (FOLK), The Mission, Feed My Lambs, Project Mammogram, and Kingwood Pines Hospital. In addition, each year we provide scholarships for Lonestar College – Kingwood students.

A major contribution of $5,000 was donated in 2001 to Northeast Hospital Foundation in Humble, Texas to establish a program which provides mammogram services to area women who either do not have insurance or whose incomes are not low enough to qualify for Medicaid. Through the 2009-2010 Club year, Kingwood Women’s Club has donated a total of $110,207 to Project Mammogram.
