Fundraising

Since its inception in 1985, Kingwood Women's Club has donated in excess of $425,000 to organizations in the Kingwood and Humble, Texas area. Recipients include FamilyTime, Humble Area Assistance Ministries (HAAM), Society of Saint Stephen (SOSS), Friends of the Library Kingwood (FOLK), The Mission, Feed My Lambs, Project Mammogram, Kingwood Pines Hospital, and Safe Zone After School Program. In addition, each year we provide scholarships for Kingwood College students.

A major contribution of $5,000 was donated in 2001 to Northeast Hospital Foundation in Humble, Texas to establish a program which provides mammogram services to area women who either do not have insurance or whose incomes are not low enough to qualify for Medicaid. Through the 2007 – 2008 Club year, Kingwood Women’s Club has donated a total of $73,263 to Project Mammogram.
