Fundraising
Since its inception in 1985, Kingwood Women's Club has donated in excess of $626,410 to organizations in the Kingwood and Humble, Texas area. Recipients include FamilyTime, Humble Area Assistance Ministries (HAAM), Society of Saint Stephen (SOSS), Friends of the Library Kingwood (FOLK), The Mission, Feed My Lambs, Project Mammogram, and Kingwood Pines Hospital. In addition, each year we provide scholarships for Lonestar College – Kingwood students.
A major contribution of $5,000 was donated in 2001 to Northeast Hospital Foundation in Humble, Texas to establish a program which provides mammogram services to area women who either do not have insurance or whose incomes are not low enough to qualify for Medicaid. Through the 2010-2011 Club year, Kingwood Women's Club has donated a total of $130,207 to Project Mammogram.
Holiday Marketplace

Currently the sole source of funds is our annual Holiday Marketplace. The Fifteenth Annual Holiday Marketplace will be held at the Humble, Texas Civic Center on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 from 9 am to 5 pm. The Civic Center is located at 8233 Will Clayton Parkway, Humble, Texas between S. Houston Ave. and Wilson Road, one mile east of US Highway 59 (map). Over 80 vendors from all over the Gulf Coast will offer a wide variety of merchandise including jewelry, food, women's and children's clothing and accessories, holiday decorations, gift items and much more. Be sure to check out the amazing raffle items available both days of Marketplace.
The Fifteenth Annual Holiday Marketplace will kick off with a Preview Party at the Humble Civic Center on Monday evening Monday, October 24, 2011 from 6 to 9:30 pm. Only 900 guests will be able to join us to enjoy wine and refreshments while experiencing a shopping extravaganza. Highlight of the evening will be a Silent Auction with some very special items. Tickets for this event are available in advance only for $25 per person which will include free General Admission on Tuesday, October 25, 2011. Proceeds from Preview Party ticket sales will benefit Project Mammogram and other local charities.
On Tuesday, October 25, 2011, a delicious luncheon catered by Carrabba’s will be served to give busy shoppers a nice break. In addition, our café will have sandwiches and snacks available for purchase. A limited number of $25 luncheon tickets are available which includes admission to the show. General Admission tickets for $8 are available in advance or may be purchased at the door.
